Bihar’s Education Department, in partnership with NASSCOM, has opened AI learning labs in government schools across five rural districts, including Araria and Nalanda. These labs include Raspberry Pi computers, AI Lego kits, and virtual assistants to teach concepts like image recognition and automation. Students from Class 6 onwards engage in hands-on experiments and app-building. Teachers have undergone AI literacy training, and curriculum modules are aligned with the National Education Policy. The initiative aims to bridge the urban-rural tech divide, preparing students for future digital careers. Already, 200 projects by students have been showcased at district exhibitions.
